Laylatul Qadr

Bismillaahirrahmaanirraheem.
Assalaam alaikum wa rahmathullahi wa brakaathuhu.
Lets begin by invoking the blessings of almighty allah,to bless every single one of us, our parents and offsprings..
May he grant us all eternal success.. ameen
My dear sisters in Islam,
Today, lets share a few very important and significant keynotes about The Night of Qadr, The Night of Power(Laylathul Qadr).
The Night of Power(Laylathul Qadr) is soo special and magnificent that Allah(swt) revealed an entire surah, so that we understand how important this one night is…
No other night, no other month or no other era of the year has been highlighted the way that this one night has been highlighted. For Allah azzawajal revealed an entire surah dedicated in explaining this night. And it is called the surah of Qadr .
And Allah azzawajal reveals in this surah:
1. Verily! We have sent it (this Qur’an) down in the night of Al-Qadr (Decree)
2. And what will make you know what the night of Al-Qadr (Decree) is?
3. The night of Al-Qadr (Decree) is better than a thousand months (i.e. worshipping Allah in that night is better than worshipping Him a thousand months, i.e. 83 years and 4 months).
4. Therein descend the angels and the Ruh [Jibrael (Gabriel)] by Allah’s Permission with all Decrees,
5. Peace! (All that night, there is Peace and Goodness from Allah to His believing slaves) until the appearance of dawn.
So Laylatul Qadr is a night which is more valuable than a thousand months.. i.e, 83years and 4 months( a night that had you donated one dollar, its actually more valuable than donating 30,000 dollars on any other regular night). A night in which the book of guidance(quran), the food of our soul was revealed. The night in which peace and blessings and tranquility and mercy descends along with angels to the first heaven. The night in which Allah(swt) descends in a way that befits his Majesty, after one third of that night.
This is the night where any supplication(dua) made, is accepted..
This is the night where any need put forth, shall be fulfilled..
This is the night, if asked for fogiveness, will surely be forgiven..
All these blessings and mercy and greatness continues until the time of fajr, until dawn.. Allah Akbar.
So once the prophet (S) is asked a question by Hazrath Aisha(r)-
If I witness that amazing night, the night of Laylathl Qadr (night of decree), what dua or supplication should I make..
And the prophet(S) responded(which is very simple): Allahumma innaka ‘affuwwun tuhibbul ‘afwa fa’fu ‘anni’(Oh! Allah, you are most forgiving. you love to forgive. So, forgive me).
If we achieve forgiveness on this night, then…..subhanallah,
Let us ask Allah(SWT) to grant us forgiveness on this night. Ameen
I am sure you agree to the thought that, this entire wonderful great night, for the prophet(pbuh) to say this short sentence, must hav an amazing value. yes, you are right..
But there is a secret to that dua.
Unlike the word ‘maghfirah’, meaning to forgive or to pardon, ‘al affuw’ means to erase and wipe away.
For eg: the winds have wiped away the traces. So you cannot tell if someone did actually walk on this path or not.
So, if we call to Allah(s) with  this dua, he will erase and wipe away all of our sins. He will not leave even a single trace of the sins we have committed.
And hence, Allah(swt) will not punsish us for it. Not just that..
Allah(swt) will give us eveything which we asked for. And will give us much more than what we have asked for(that which is good for us)
Allahu Akbar…
Ponder on this amazing dua..
So, shouldn’t we go and run to Allah(swt), and supplicate this dua from the bottom of our hearts.??..
May allah(swt) make me and yo witness this great night. Ameen…
And you know, we keep complaining,.. that we can’t stop backbiting,.. lying and gossiping,.. we complain that we can’t pray fajr on time, that we can’t wear the proper hijab or respect our parents the way they are supposed to be respected. We offer salah. But our mind is somewhere else. The only reason behind this is our sins. The thing that is always holding us is our sins..
A man came to Ali ibn Abi Talib(r).. He told him:
Oh! leader of the believers, I used to wake up at night and pray. and for some reason I stopped and I dont know whats the reason.
Ali ibn Abi Talib(r) replied: You are a man who has been chained by your sins.
So sisters,
lets break theses chains, break them out…This is the opportunity gifted to us by Allah(swt).
Use every single night of the last ten days, this Ramadhan In shaa Allah.
More likely within the odd nights from amongst  the last ten nights of the month of Ramadhan. More likely to be in the second half. Which means we should look at the 27th night as well as the 29th night. But this does not mean that it is not from the 21st onwards.
we ask allah(swt) to grant us this night.
So, Laylathl Qadr is one amongst theseten nights. Please do not focus on the 27th night alone.
The sad reality is, we all think that 27th is the night. It may not have been the 27th this year. It maybe or it may not be.We need to look for and search for this particlar night.
This is a gift af allah(SWT) for us. So that we do not become from amongst those who worship Allah(swt) only on one night and the rest of the nights we forget him.
May allah(swt) bless us.
Lets be like the Prophet(pbuh) who used to prepare for all the last ten nights.
* he used to prepare himself physically.
* he would stay up all night offering salah, supplicating to allah (swt), remembering Allah(swt)…
No sleep, no unnecessary talk, nothing.
Only dua.. just with Allah (swt) -Al Afuww.
So my dear sisters,
lets not procastinate, let not delay any frther..
In shaa Allah,
This might be the moment  we are looking for, to move on to the next level, to have a positive change in our lives. Truly, a change made overnight.
So lets do all that it takes. Perhaps, sleep in the morning, so that it can energise us at night. Do all types of Ibaadah, just extra.
Extra salah, extra dua, extra dhikr, extra charity.
Allahumma innaka ‘affuwwun tuhibbul ‘afwa fa’fu ‘anni’ – this is a dua that allah has gifted us. Lets learn and memorise it. Be more frequent in supplicating this dua during the nights of Laylathul Qadr, this Ramadhan, In shaa Allah.. So that all of our sins not only gets forgiven bt also wiped away. May Allah accept all our good deeds. Ameen. Ameen ya rabbul aalameen
Jazakallahu khayran my sisters
Assalaam alaikum wa rahmathullahi wa brakaathuhu.
